Why is Adobe Software So Expensive?

February 10, 2020

Why is Adobe software so expensive? Adobe Flash is free, though bug prone. That’s
why even Adobe gave up on Flash and is supporting HTML5 and other audio-video options on the
internet. I meant the Adobe creative suite. It is horrifically
expensive. Sometimes I wonder if Adobe switched to a
subscription model to ensure a constant cash flow stream so people can’t save money delaying
an upgrade. Other times I think they did it to customers on an installment plan. As if twelve payments $49.99 really makes
me feel better about spending $600 a year for the basic Adobe package. If you just get Photoshop, it is just $10
a month. That is barely enough to make silly graphics
for Cracked.com photo contests. That’s not good enough if you need to make business cards,
websites or decent flyers. True. It certainly isn’t enough to make
book covers or Rosie O’Donnell look good. I read an article where someone said the Adobe
suite 6 is so expensive in Australia it was actually cheaper to fly to America and buy
it there. Talk about a price difference. Have you heard of PTC’s Pro-Engineer drafting
software or Windchill drawing management software? Those tools are over 10K each. How can I save money on it, other than pirate
it? Given how much Adobe is charging, I’m sure
they are paying for a few high tech companies to look for pirates. And they’ll go after
you for stealing $3,000 of software after seeing the RIAA go after people for stealing
dollar song downloads. I wonder if Adobe is the next Quark Express. What’s that? Quark was a desktop publishing software in
the 1990s with 95% market share. They charged a lot, while Adobe won market share by being
good enough for its low price. If you already buy the 3K professional suites
of Adobe, a three year subscription at $600 a year is a good deal. And then I lose access to the software if
they get a denial of service attack or I lose my internet connection. You could always Gimp or Pixelmator. And Gimp
is free. All it costs is my credibility if I put it
on my resume.

Frankly I don't see a suitable non-pirating means to get adobe on a student budget or less. Adobe has given starving artist the middle finger in regards to their multimedia suites that are as prone to crashes and glitches as a Bethesda Softworks Game. They want to charge full price for an, unfinished, broken product and sell you the rest in instalments, truly sad.

Lovely Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you considered – Riddleagan Made Masterpiece Remedy (just google it)? It is an awesome one off guide for learning professional photo editing without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my GF at very last got great success with it.
