Hello, my name is Luis Estrada, and I’m a
software developer. In this video, I’ll show you how to edit a Bitmap. I’m using MicroSoft
Paint. Paint is a registered trademark of Microsoft, a company to which I have no affiliation.
The Bitmap was one of the very first image formats created. The disadvantage of using
Bitmap images, is that their final size will always be larger, than the same picture saved
in a compression format, like JPEG or PMG. In this folder, I have saved the same picture
in the three different formats. So, you can see the file size difference, between them.
In terms of quality, there’s practically no difference among the three. To convert a Bitmap
image to a compressed image, just open it in Paint. Then select File and Save As. Now
choose any compression format, and click Save. I’m Luis Estrada, and I’ve just shown you
how to edit your digital images.
