Too much halo around the mountain tops using aurora and the sky looks too muddy and the trees look too crunchy
The natural one is far better and if you combine luminosity mask blending the image would look amazing

….you didnt even try to get the LR Version closer to the AHDR. Little clarity and sharpness and wouldnt be that much different. Caz I would choose a version somewhere in the middle of the two.

Great video as always! 👌🏼 you should do a video where we send you a photo and you do your best editing it.

I like your work Serge, but I think you overprocessed both of these photos..

Use luminosity mask!!!! They are far more natural looking.

Nice. SNS HDR dit all that many years ago. Alignment, DCRAW prosessing, degosting, layers, internal presets, batch and unnatended processing an tons of high precise color / contrast settings. Even more with ultimate realtime speed in version 2

Your analogy of pros liking the natural and the non pros preferring the tone mapped is born out in my print sales. I sell a lot of tone mapped images to "regular people" customers, where as photographers and other artist not only like the natural, but will gravitate to B&W as well.
