Let’s first click on Black & White found in the Adjustment tab Here you can choose from the different presets or you can “play” around with the sliders until you are happy with the result To momentarily turn off the Preview, click on the “eye” icon at the bottom of the panel You can turn a color picture to B&W even by clicking on the Hue/Saturation on the Adjustment Tab and bringing the Saturation to -100 You can turn a photo B&W by clicking on Profile>Monochrome or by simply clicking on the B&W button at the top right By choosing Profile>Browse All Profiles, you will find all of the B&W profiles to choose from If you want to create a customized version, without using any of this profiles, go back and select Profile>Monochrome again Scroll down until you see B&W Mixer If you click on Auto, Lightroom will automatically decide on how to edit it or you can “play” around with the sliders until you feel satisfied, same as Photoshop Lastly, another way is to go back to Profile>Color and desaturate the picture
