Flattening an Image in Photoshop

February 3, 2020

Before printing an image, make sure the image does not
exceed a width of 35 inches, and a length of 47 inches. Anything larger will not fit on the plotter paper. Once the image is sized properly,
you will need to flatten your image. Make sure to save your work under a
different name before flattening your image in case you need to make additional edits later. Once your image is saved, go to
“Select” and “All” in the overhead menu. Next, go back to the menu and
select “Layer” and “Flatten Image.” After the image is flattened, go to the
menu and select “File” and “Save As.” Choose “Photoshop PDF.” When naming your image, follow the format
of “your PSU access ID underscore college.” For example, “xyz123_AG.” Finalize your save by pressing “Save.” Congratulations! You’re now ready to print your image.

I missed your tip to save a copy.  I followed the process to flatten (making pdf. smaller to email), but now I need to make an edit.  I already saved it, how do I in-flatten?  When I went back in its a background.  How can I get my layers back?
